My name is Marti and I am the owner of The Darling Dish
...but I am also a painter, music maker, wife, daughter, sister, and loyal friend.
A born-and-raised Oregonian, through and through, I currently live in Bend (an outdoor wonderland of rushing rivers and forest trails) with my sweet husband Nick and our hilarious kitten-child, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. I had an idyllic childhood/adolescence in the high desert of Central Oregon, amidst ancient Juniper trees and snow dusted mountains and, although I've spent a handful of my adult years in the lush and rain-soaked land of Portland, Bend has always been home. It was there, on my parent's small ranch (with black cows grazing in the background), in August of 2015, where I promised to love and honor Nick for the rest of my life.
Cross my heart, that day was the most joyful and beautiful day that I have ever lived.
I mean, just look at that smile!
Only one year earlier, I began acquiring mismatched floral dishes and flatware in hopes of building up The Darling Dish to become the go-to service for brides who dreamt of creating a unique and colorful wedding, even while on a tight budget. Now, the hope is a reality that I can share with so many people, and what a beautiful reality that is!
I relish the little details that make an event feel inexplicably precious; the details that leave guests with a deep impression of warmth, joy, and gratitude. With The Darling Dish, I work closely with brides, mothers, sisters, and best friends to bring together an awe-inspiring, thoughtful, and authentic event.
I can't wait to meet you and learn about what brings you joy!
